Join John for this special 2 hour practice and experience the benefits of Restorative Yoga firsthand.
This deeply nourishing workshop invites you to experience the healing potential of restorative yoga, with a focus on using the wall for support.
Drawing from the Iyengar tradition, this practice uses props and long-held, gentle postures to promote physical, mental and emotional restoration. You’ll explore traditional restorative postures such as Vipariti Karani (legs up the wall) as well as supported hip openers and twists, and a long, restful savasana to close.
The wall provides support and stability, allowing your body and mind to fully relax into each posture. With the support of breath and longer holds, this practice will encourage you to slow down, let go of tension and shift from a state of ‘doing’ to one of ‘being’.
This workshop would be perfect for anyone seeking:
- relief from physical and mental fatigue
- a gentle practice that encourages deep rest
- nervous system balance and emotional regulation
