Classes

Vinyasa

Suitable for all levels of experience. Taught in a dynamic, flowing and mindful way with modifications of poses offered as required. So whether you are looking to take a more nurturing approach to your practise, or work a little stronger and deeper, you will be well looked after. Classes are balanced and include asana (posture), basic Pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation.

Duration: 60, 75 & 90 minutes. Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to start time.

Hatha Flow

Suitable for all levels of experience. Hatha Flow is a unique style of yoga, creatively linking movements with static yoga postures and has a strong emphasis on the breath. It also includes elements from from tai chi and chi gong. Throughout the class at regular intervals, uddiyana bandha is taught which greatly aids in the health of the internal organs and helps us to learn to breathe more comfortably and efficiently. If you are new to any of these terms or perhaps curious, come and try Hatha Flow for yourself, it is worth it!

Intermediate

Suitable for practitioners with at least 6 months of yoga experience. Taught in a flowing and engaging way. Here we delve a little deeper into more complex asana, explore pranayama in more depth, and more detailed meditation. Teachers will assume that practitioners have a basic understanding of posture and breath and are able to pace themselves as required. Good for those looking to be challenged and who wish to deepen their practise and understanding. Currently classes run Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Some say, to be up and practising with the birds is best!

Duration: 90 minutes. Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to start time.

Intermediate / Advanced

Suitable for practitioners with at least 2 years yoga experience. Less modifications of postures taught. In this class we will explore deeper asana and spend longer sitting and exploring pranayama and meditation. Sometimes more is more! We will focus on different elements of the practise each week. It is assumed that practitioners can look after themselves and do less when required. A challenging and engaging class.

Duration: 105 minutes. Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to start time.

Inversions, Strength and Stability

Inversions, such as handstand, forearm stand and headstand, can take some time to master. Speed up the process with this weekly inversions strength class. This class will explore form, technique and alignment, utilise conditioning and strengthing drills and increase mobility in shoulders and legs. Come along to have fun, turn upside down a lot and get strong! All levels welcome.

Duration: 75 minutes. Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to start time.

Yin

Yin Yoga uses restorative, floor-based poses to provide support for the immune system and to develop an inner atmosphere of self-inquiry. Yin Yoga classes provide an ideal setting to develop or deepen a meditation practice because the physically passive poses are held for several minutes at a time, with the muscles relaxed and the body supported. Yin Yoga can be seen as style of yoga that might compliment a more dynamic yoga practice or lifestyle, and assist in bringing balance to the body and mind.
