Join Verity Gill for the second of a two-part arm balancing series.

Workshop 2 – Taking Flight

This workshop is designed to help you build strong foundations for a healthy, sustainable and fun arm balance practice. Arm balances offer a great opportunity to build confidence, focus and resilience in your practice. These postures invite us to find steadiness in challenge – to meet effort with ease, strength with humility, and curiosity with courage. Through mindful technique and playful exploration, you’ll learn to cultivate balance in both body and mind.

In Workshop 2, we’ll build on the foundations established in Workshop 1. We will explore progressions toward Astavakrasana (Eight-Angle Pose) and Tittibasana (Firefly Pose) and transitions such as Crow Pose (Bakasana) to Tripod Headstand. You’ll refine your understanding of balance and core integration, and learn how subtle shifts in engagement and alignment can help these shapes feel more accessible and explore transitions. Through mindful sequencing and playful experimentation, we’ll continue to develop strength, focus and confidence in your arm balance practice.

Expect detailed technique breakdowns, thoughtful use of props and modifications, and plenty of time to play, experiment and ask questions. We will finish with helpful stretches, a short meditation to integrate your practice, and a well-earned relaxation.

Whether you’re new to arm balances or refining your existing skills, this two-part series will leave you feeling stronger, more confident and inspired to keep exploring.

Note students on the fortnightly membership receive 10% off.
