Join Hayley Steadman for this workshop exploring the six movements of the hip joint.
Have you ever heard someone say that our emotions are stored in our hips? Have you ever wondered what this means and if it’s really true? Do stiff hip muscles mean we are stressed in our day to day lives or are we are holding on to unprocessed emotions? Explore these ideas, and more, in this workshop with Hayley Steadman.
In modern life there are endless factors that could be contributing to the all too common reality of tight hips. We sit for long periods of time either working, driving or perhaps watching Netflix and often we are not releasing and opening this important muscle joint complex near enough.
Through yoga, we are able to release tension in this area through the practice of specific hip opening postures. There are many benefits to practising these types of asanas including improved flexibility, mobility and circulation, decreased back pain, as well as creating energetic shifts or releases within us.
In this workshop we will explore the six movements of the hip joint and look at various ways to help release tension built up over time. We will move through a creative sequence building towards deep and slow release hip opening asanas – ensuring that you’ll be leaving with happy hips!
Some basic yoga experience is suggested to get the most out of this workshop.
