Beginners Course 2 – Foundations of Vinyasa

This course is ideal for anyone who has completed our 6 week Beginners Course 1 or someone looking to get back into their practice after a break.
Over the 6 weeks we will build on the core sequence of postures offered in Beginners Course 1. During Beginners Course 2, you are starting to experience the important link between how you move, and how you breathe, and learning to link postures smoothly with the breath. You are building your knowledge and confidence and starting to join the dots in the practice and put it all together. There will be plenty of variations and modifications offered in each posture to ensure this course is accessible.
Each week there will be a focus on one aspect of the practice:
- Week 1 – Standing Postures
- Week 2 – Standing and Balancing
- Week 3 – Forward Bending and Hip Opening
- Week 4 – Twists and Hip Opening
- Week 5 – Backbending
- Week 6 – Introduction to Inversions
We will also explore some simple breathing exercises (pranayama) and meditation.
